Jack in the Box - Las Vegas

Wow!  I recently got to Video DJ the Circle of Excellence Awards for Jack in the Box at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.  It was VERY COOL and I think a little weird to be impressed by meeting a fictional character...  Yes there really is a Jack its not all Hollywood lighting tricks.  He was really nice and interesting to talk to.
They started the night off with presenting awards to the top performers on the Jack in the Box Team.  Everything from Store managers to Management coaches that had exceeded goals throughout the last year.  Jack and other executives presented and posed with each recipient which really went over well.
After the presentation was over we fired up the Video Screens and danced to Music Videos ALLLLLL Night!  I think they danced for like 4 hours straight.  Top 40, Latin, Disco and 80s' they liked a little bit of everything.

It was a blast and my room on the 59th floor at the Cosmopolitan overlooking the Mandalay Bay Water Show wasn't bad either.  I hope I get to spin for this group again.

Video Dj Wedding at Marriott Mission Valley

This one was for about 300 people at the Marriott Mission Valley.  Video DJ with two 6ft x 8ft Rear projection video screens.  Jamie & Nick were a lot of fun and went all out for their wedding.  The Grand Entrance consisted of about 49 people in total including Parents, Primary and Secondary Sponsors, Bridal Party and the Bride and Groom.

We started off by introducing the Parents and Sponsors, then I played a video that Nick, the Groom, gave to me just before we started.  It was a fully pre-produced NFL style intro video for each bridal party member.  It was probably the most unique thing I'd seen for a wedding in a long time, it was great and the guests really loved it.  Each 20 second segment had a Statistics listing with a framed embedded video clip of the Bridesmaid or Groomsmen.  After the video finished, I introduced each couple Live and the guests were cheering like it was an actual football game.

After Dinner and the formal dances we got the dancefloor going with some Video DJ action and from there I think they would have danced all night.  The high point of the night was definitely when I mixed the Gangnam Style Video.  The 30ft by 30ft Dancefloor wasn't big enough to hold all the dancers.

Thank you to Danielle & Jared from Side By Side Cinema for putting together this Highlight Video of the day and to Wedding Coordinator - Meilani Garcia at Ellevent for keeping the track of the guests and timeline and really allow me to focus on the Video DJ'ing.

I didn't turn the camera on much that day but here is one short clip.

Wedding at Paradise Point

This isn't connected to the previous post (Beach Party at Paradise Point), just happens to be the order that I pulled the video footage.

Wade and Kristen were one of my funnest couples of the year.  Really fun and easy going and their friends were too, which made for a great party after dinner wiht plenty of old school dance favorites and some current hits too.

I provided music, wireless microphones and speakers for the ceremony on the lawn, which went off flawlessly except for the slightly overcast skies.  Then I Dj and provided 8 Amber Uplights, Dance Lights and 2 Cake mini spot lights to light the cake table in the Reception room.  The room looked incredible thanks to Rachel Welland at Bliss Events.

Beach Party at Paradise Point

This was a Corporate Beach party for about 30-35 people.  I was initially asked to just play beach vibe type music after the Hula Dance demonstration while they hung out and talked at the bar.  But maybe it was the random hotel guest that walked through the party and started doing parkour that got them going.

But about 80% of them jumped on stage and danced the rest of the night. I guess they just didn't want to dance in the sand.
