Corporate Video DJ for 2300 people at Hilton Bayfront

A big event in the ballroom,  screens and audio all over the room courtesy of EventAVision at Hilton Bayfront San Diego with Pacific Events and Imagination Entertainment with their stage performers followed up by a packed dancefloor party afterward.
You couldn't see all the screens in these pictures but (4) 16 x 9 ft projection screens and a full JBL array speaker system covered the room perfectly for the speaker at the podium, the stage acts and the Video DJ afterward.  This group of local healthcare professionals was ready to have some fun.  There's already talk of having me back next year.

 I LOVE DANCEFLOOR PICTURES!
LOOKS LIKE A CROWD OF PEOPLE STANDING THERE!
NO REALLY! THOSE PEOPLE WERE DANCING NOT JUST
HANGING AROUND IN FRONT OF THE STAGE.

Disco Themed Video DJ Party at Maderas

This was like an explosion of color! This Annual corporate party selects a theme each year and the attendees go all out, dressing in costume and acting in character - it was a lot of fun.

I Video DJ'd all Disco for the first 4 hours (yes, I have that much Disco on DVD)and they were INTO IT. maybe it was the wigs but no matter they were having a great time. The last hour as the planning committee and I planned we started to break out of the disco theme and give them some 80s and top 40 which by that time of night they were ready for and only added to the excitement.
My team brought in an 8 foot screen for the videos, plenty of dance and stage lights, 8 hot pink uplights and a disco ball - because let's face it what's a disco party if there's no disco ball!

Sorry for the lack of Recent updates!

I'm sorry to report that my cool little video camera that allowed me to give you a quick glimpse of those parties is no longer with us. I don't know if i misplaced it or if someone decided they liked it more than I do.

For now I guess we'll have to settle for good old fashioned Text updates and blogposts...how boring. I'll try to link youtube clips to some of the bigger events if I can find them online.

Here are a couple to get you going

San Diego Block Party: Early January I Video DJ'd for 2500 people from the Special Event Industry. I find that more and more, when its time to impress those that are usually behind the scenes and in-the-know like this group was, I get the call quite often for Video DJ because it's just so amazing. My video library is over 18,000 now and it covers to name a few: Frank Sinatra, Temptations, James Brown, Bee Gees, Madonna, Michael Jackson and of course all of today hits. This event was incredible, 4 City blocks with Food, Audio and Video Throughout.

The guys from Innovative Presentations did a great job placing 12 video screens around the 4 block area including the 12 foot screen behind me and a 15 ft screen on a rooftop on 5th avenue. I played for about 90 minutes and had the place jumping until I passed it off for the main stage and Recording Group - Kool & the Gang took the main stage.

This video isn't of me but someone else caught a little of Kool & the Gang on stage

Corporate Party at Fox Sports Grill in San Diego at Hilton Bay Front

This group came in for a few days, one of their nights was a party at Fox Sports Grill. It didn't take them long to get out on the dancefloor. Fox Sports Grill is a great place for a Corporate Party, plenty of space, night near the bay, indoor and outdoor mixed seating and plenty of video screens for sports or Video DJ would be amazing...

Corporate Dinner Party and Dancing on a Yacht

A weekday night party on Flagship Cruises Yacht - The Spirit of California. We picked this group oof 200 up on the Chart House Pier in Coronado newar the Hotel del Coronado. They were treated to a world class dinner and then back upstairs for dancing and the party.

This is a good example to show that while most of the parties that I play are a variety of music, really what I do is play to the crowd. It's not always Black Eyed Peas and Earth Wind and Fire. Sometimes its more Lynyrd Skynyrd and Alabama... That's what I love about what I do its always something new.

Sorry the video is a little dark, but hopefully you can still see what's happening.

Corporate Dance Party at the Park Hyatt Aviara

This was initially intended to be a simple Cocktail party no real dancing was int eh plans for the organizers of the evenings party. Even when I'm asked to just play background music so guests can talk and enjoy themselves I always try to play mostly fun, recognizable and upbeat songs so its an enjoyablee festive atmostphere. That almost always leads to at least some light dancing, but sometimes it erupts into a full blown dance party. That's why it's important to hire the right DJ for a party. You need a DJ and Emcee that can go with the flow but knows how to subtly instill that fun, festive and outgoing vibe for the guests.

The Park Hyatt Aviara, formerly known as the Four Seasons Aviara is a great hotel. True Five Star Service and the Entire Resort and its food uphold that same standard.

Corporate Party in January

Getting caught up on blogging some of these parties from a few months ago. This was a small but really fun group, they had their employee party in January with DJ and Karaoke. The group took a little while to warm up to the singing but they eventually got started. The Video is a little dark but you can still make out what's happening.

DJ at the San Diego Convention Center

This Spring I played a "wrap" party for the librarian's conference. It wasn't a big dance party, just a place for the conference attendees to come, eat and hang out until they had to leave for the airport. The Conference had ended a few hours prior the stage was still set for their closing session speaking engagement. If you're planning a corporate event with a stage, this is a good example of the perfect dual video screen set up. The lighting is perfectly mixed between static uplights and some subtle moving lights, not too busy not to plain.
